Simone, I think you're right that it could go either way depending on the film. In certain types of films though, I find it very distracting. Like here I was believing in this situation and then they go and not say "bye"! It's worth the extra 3 seconds to keep the viewer in place, because even the biggest dunces notice that! Hah! I loved this. Hilarious.<BR/><BR/>I do have to say, though, as someone who's dabbled in screenwriting, I've put some thought into the "no one says goodbye before they hang up the phone" thing. I've read an article by a working writer (can't remember who), who said that it's just written that way to save time. When every frame counts in a film, they're not going to waste precious seconds
